Choose how speech is turned into text

Built-in Whisper runs on this computer with no internet and is recommended.

   Open Settings → Speech.

   Built-in Whisper (recommended): runs on this computer, offline. Pick a speech model; a bigger model is more accurate but needs a faster computer.

   Browser speech: Chrome or Edge built-in, needs internet.

   Cloud speech: uses an OpenAI or Groq key. Good for older laptops, needs internet.

   Choose the pulpit microphone under Microphone.
