Adjust how a backdrop looks, and keep words readable

Each backdrop can be darkened, softened, tinted, cropped, zoomed or slowed. Scripture, songs and slides can each sit in the middle, in the lower third, or in a slim strip along the bottom.

  1. 1

Open Settings → Display and scroll to Backdrops.

  2. 2

Choose Scripture, Songs or Slides at the top, and pick a picture or video.

  3. 3

Adjust Darken, Soften (blur), Colour wash, Fit, Keep in view, Zoom, and Video speed (or Slow drift for pictures). The preview updates as you go.

  4. 4

Under "Behind the words", choose Shadow, Soft band or Box.

  5. 5

Under "Scripture sits" (or Songs, or Slides), choose In the middle, Lower third or Bottom strip. Each kind of content keeps its own choice, so scripture can sit in the strip while lyrics stay in the middle.

  6. 6

Bottom strip puts the words in a slim band along the bottom and leaves the rest of the screen black, so the preacher stays in view. A long passage makes the strip taller rather than the words too small.

  7. 7

Click Save changes. During a service, the backdrop button under the Live screen has the same choice next to "Words".
